CHILDHOOD SWEETHEARTS

-

JAMIE met his wife, Juliette — known as Jools — at college in 1993 when the pair were just 18. They married in Essex in June 2000 (left), with a low-key reception in Jamie’s parents’ garden, to which the chef wore a pale blue Paul Smith suit and snakeskin brogues.

Jools worked as a waitress before becoming a TV assistant, model and, briefly, her husband’s PA. She has polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), a condition which can make conceiving difficult, and their first child, Poppy Honey, was born with the help of IVF in 2002. Last year, she revealed she had a miscarriage at three months.

Gordon and Tana, 44, have also suffered a miscarriage — tragically losing their son, whom they had named Rocky, at five months in 2016. Like Jools, Tana also has PCOS. The couple met in 1992 when Tana was 18 and Gordon, then a budding chef, was 26. At the time, Tana, a Montessori-trained teacher, was dating another chef.

They married in 1996 (right). Ten years ago, Sarah Symonds alleged she’d had a seven-year affair with Gordon. He emphatically denied it.

There hasn’t been a whiff of scandal around Jamie and Jools — she says he ‘still makes my heart skip a beat’. WINNER: JAMIE
