GIANTS HEAD OUT
Leicester are biggest victims on day of shocks
LEICESTER were the most notable victims on a day of FA Cup giantkillings that showed the old competition still has the capacity to thrill. Claude Puel’s team beat Manchester City and Chelsea in the Premier League over the Christmas period, but were dumped out 2-1 by League Two Newport County at Rodney Parade yesterday, with Padraig Amond’s penalty settling it five minutes from time. Another League Two side, Oldham, won 2-1 at Premier League Fulham, while non-League Barnet beat Championship Sheffield United.
