BATTLE FOR THE QUARTER-FINALS

- WILL KELLEHER

POOL 1: LEINSTER could still sacrifice top spot to TOULOUSE if they lose and the French win next week, but it is unlikely. Toulouse are battling for a best-second-place spot. BATH and WASPS are out. POOL 2: MUNSTER host EXETER on Saturday and the Chiefs must win to have a shot at the quarter-finals. The losers probably go out along with CASTRES and GLOUCESTER.

POOL 3: SARACENS are through and will be top seeds with a win over GLASGOW — who stand a chance to go

through as runners-up. CARDIFF and LYON are out.

POOL 4: RACING 92 are in good shape for a home quarter-final despite losing to

ULSTER. The Belfast boys should secure a best runner-up place away to LEICESTER. The Tigers are out, as are the SCARLETS.

POOL 5: EDINBURGH and MONTPELLIER battle for top spot on Friday in Scotland. If the French lose, they will probably join NEWCASTLE and TOULON in being eliminated.
