Cole links up with Sol

MANCHESTER United striker Andy Cole is joining former England team-mate Sol Campbell at League Two Macclesfield Town. Cole will become the new strikers’ coach this week as they try to stay in the League. Cole, who has battled a kidney condition since retiring, plans to work two days a week. The Silkmen are in the relegation zone despite better form under Campbell but are the division’s joint-lowest scorers with 25 goals from 28 games. Since Campbell was appointed manager at the end of November, the club have collected 11 points from eight games and climbed off the bottom.
