HIGUAIN PUSHES FOR CHELSEA MOVE

GONZALO HIGUAIN (below) has formally requested to leave AC Milan as he tries to force a move to Chelsea. The Blues are allowing striker Michy Batshuayi to join Monaco on loan for the rest of the season as they look to finalise terms with onloan Higuain’s parent club Juventus. The Turin club want Chelsea to take over the terms of the 31-year-old’s deal, which entails an initial £16m fee with obligation to buy at £32m. The Blues have proposed an 18-month loan and Alvaro Morata could be used in negotiations. Chelsea are also closing in on Zenit St Petersburg star Leandro Paredes.
