Del Boy’s little girl is now his leading lady
IT has been nearly 18 years since he proudly presented his baby girl to the world.
And Sir David Jason, 8, still looked every inch the doting father as he walked the red carpet with his daughter Sophie on Wednesday.
Sophie, who turns 18 next month, is the actor’s only child after he became a father at the age of 61.
The Only Fools And Horses star and his daughter were pictured together as they arrived at the Royal Albert Hall to watch Cirque Du Soleil’s show, Totem.
Sophie wore a star-printed dress with a black bolero-style jacket and statement earrings. A bearded Sir David wore a smart check blazer, jumper and jeans. They were joined by the star’s wife and Sophie’s mother, Gill Hinchcliffe, 59.
The actor has said his urge to do well in his career meant he put off starting a family.
He said in 2002: ‘I always wanted to succeed. The only way I could do that was to try with every job to be better than I was in the last one, and to learn. Because of that I needed to be footloose and fancy free.’
