Is Theresa May doing a good job over Brexit?

-

ThEREsA MAY has done all she can to secure Brexit for the people. she has kept her cool and shown herself to be head and shoulders above the MPs shouting her down. she may not be a great orator like Winston Churchill, but she has tried her best to deliver on a democratic vote.

Mrs D. yOUngMan, Wakefield, W. yorks.

I WOULD not describe the Prime Minister’s reaction to the most humiliating defeat for 100 years as ‘calm dignity’. I would call it a stubborn refusal to acknowledge two wasted years while continuing with a failed policy the EU has already rejected.

ian HaRRiS, Bognor Regis, W. Sussex. MRs May has worked long and hard on Brexit with little thanks or support. it would take more than a miracle to achieve all the individual desires of MPs — they need to be reminded this situation involves the whole of the UK. it is time for MPs to get behind Mrs May and deliver what they were asked to do in the referendum. n. HagUE, S. yorks.

WHAT does it take for Theresa May to leave No. 10? Brexit is a mess and she is part of the problem that caused it. When she became Prime Minister, she said she wanted a country that works for everyone, but it is working for no one. She said she would listen to the people, yet she listens to no one.

MaRy WiEDMan, Hemel Hempstead, Herts. NOT since the time of Churchill have i seen a Prime Minister toil so relentlessly on behalf of this nation and its people. i am appalled that Mrs May’s hard work has been sabotaged by MPs who feel nothing for the majority who voted to leave the EU.

J. B. PyETT, Bexhill-on-Sea, E. Sussex.

WHAT is it going to take to rid this country of Theresa May? How many more defeats before this woman will resign? She was a hopeless Home Secretary and she has proven herself to be an even worse Prime Minister.

STEFan BaDHaM, Portsmouth, Hants. DEsPiTE brickbats, cutting remarks and mud-slinging, Titanium Theresa still towers above the minnows around her. how does she do it? A lesser person would have wilted months ago. she is a lady of integrity, dignity and, most of all, endurance. stick to your guns, ma’am. There is no else who can do your job and the country is behind you.

L. a. THOMaS, Southampton.
