MP’s fury over anti-Semitic alien image
A LABOUR MP is furious after the party failed to expel an activist who posted a disturbing anti-Semitic image.
Kayla Bibby posted a picture of the Statue of Liberty being smothered by a creature bearing the Star of David. Next to the image – which implies that Jews control the US or are killing liberty – she wrote: ‘The most accurate photo I’ve seen all year!’
It was taken from the website of far-Right blogger ‘Incogman’. Miss Bibby had asked them to send a version of the image – featuring a facehugger from the Alien films – which she could easily post on Facebook.
Louise Ellman, who is Jewish, alerted the party last year. Miss Bibby was merely given ‘a formal reminder of her conduct’.
Mrs Ellman, MP for Liverpool Riverside, said: ‘I’m appalled the party has disregarded this. It is clear we are being treated with contempt.’ Labour said it ‘takes all complaints of anti-Semitism extremely seriously’.
