Pair of cadets get 99 points for speeding

TWO Qatari naval cadets training in Britain earned 99 speeding points between them in just four months.

Tameem Mohammed Al-Ishaq and Ahmed Al-Mahmoud, both 20, were based at the Britannia Royal Naval College in Dartmouth, Devon. They were sentenced in their absence after failing to attend Newton Abbot Magistrate­s’ Court to face 25 charges of speeding.

Al-Ishaq was found guilty of 15 and fined £7,810. He was given 61 points on his licence and banned from driving for four years. Al-Mahmoud was also banned for four years. He was found guilty of ten counts, fined £4,840 and given 38 points.
