Pair of cadets get 99 points for speeding
TWO Qatari naval cadets training in Britain earned 99 speeding points between them in just four months.
Tameem Mohammed Al-Ishaq and Ahmed Al-Mahmoud, both 20, were based at the Britannia Royal Naval College in Dartmouth, Devon. They were sentenced in their absence after failing to attend Newton Abbot Magistrates’ Court to face 25 charges of speeding.
Al-Ishaq was found guilty of 15 and fined £7,810. He was given 61 points on his licence and banned from driving for four years. Al-Mahmoud was also banned for four years. He was found guilty of ten counts, fined £4,840 and given 38 points.
