High-fliers take a hike

-

THE problem with the BBC is that it is in control of a bottomless pit of money that can be replenished by dipping into the people’s pockets.

As it’s not their money, the bosses grant themselves large salaries and expense accounts. In return we get East Enders, endless repeats and rubbish such as Danny Dyer’s Right Royal Family.

Why should it broadcast exciting new programmes when we seem content to watch the same stuff again and again?

It’s time for the BBC to be brought under control. Get rid of the wellpaid high-fliers and replace them with people who really care about making excellent TV shows.

THE BBC proposes to punish the elderly by withdrawing the free TV licence, in order to continue paying its presenters outrageous salaries.

The technology exists to allow us a choice regarding which programme providers we use. Put into effect, I wonder how many of us would say: ‘Bye, bye, BBC!’
