Geldof’s very special love

lIKE so many others, I will hugely miss John Humphrys after he hangs up his Today Programme headphones. My mornings will never be the same again.

Yet what happened yesterday may have convinced him that he’s made the right decision. On Radio 4’ s flagship current affairs show, he was asked to interview a woman who proceeded to strip off live on air to reveal the slogan ‘Brexit leaves Britain naked’ scrawled across her chest. A puerile stunt, particularly on radio.

‘Isn’t it just exhibitionism?’ Humphrys asked.

No one can replace this titan who daily exposes the powerful and so-called experts for being emperors with no clothes.
