£1.2m Daily Mash deal
SATIRICAL news website The Daily Mash has been bought in a £1.2m deal.
Digital box Publishing is buying the online firm from its journalist founders Neil Rafferty and Paul Stokes in a cash and shares deal. The Daily Mash makes money from advertising revenue and generated sales of £396,000 and a profit before tax of £135,000 last year.
It also has a TV offshoot, The Mash Report, which airs on BBC2.
