A RARE

home-taped recording of a 1979 radio 1 summit between a pre-Thriller Michael Jackson and George Harrison has been restored by the BBC.

During their review of the latest releases, the former Beatle remarks how he’d originally written the Fab Four classic Something with ray Charles in mind.

‘You wrote Something?’ Jackson exclaimed. ‘Oh, I didn’t know that. I thought Lennon and McCartney did that.’

‘ Yeah,’ Harrison replied glumly. ‘everybody thinks that.’
