Out of the mouths of babes
My gRanddaUgHteR was four and my grandson just two when we were travelling in the car. they had recently been to Spain, where my granddaughter hadn’t been able to understand the language. My grandson was trying his best to tell me a tale in baby talk, and I commented that I wished I knew what he was trying to tell me. My granddaughter replied: ‘He’s speaking Spanish, nana. When he starts to speak english, we will all understand him!’ Mrs Elaine Woodward, Stoke-on-trent, Staffs.
