Bonnie’s secret for dealing with unwanted advances

Actress Bonnie Langford says she has been able to deflect sexual harassment in her long showbusiness career.

Asked if anyone had ‘hit’ on her, she says: ‘Oh probably, but I’m not very bright when it comes to all that.

‘Mind you, theatre is a bizarre kind of world. We hug and touch a lot but it doesn’t mean anything. Well, not usually.

‘If a hand has ever stayed a little too long on any part of my body, I’ve tended to use humour as both a shield and a weapon,’ says the former child star, 54, who is starring in 9 to 5 the Musical at the savoy theatre.
