ThE bbC is to cut the length of the news (Mail)? it already has! The amount of time devoted to actual news during news at Ten is pitiful.

news should be the facts about events that have happened, reported clearly and concisely. but what we are made to endure is political speculation, conjecture from selfimportant, hand-waving reporters and non-news about celebrities.

i can’t be alone in longing for a return to the days when the facts were reported without agenda or opinion. it’s not the length of news at Ten that is driving viewers to other channels; it is the uninspiring content and diminishing quality.
