Dunelm Brexit warning

HOMEWARE company Dunelm is stockpilin­g products because it fears disruption if there is a nodeal brexit.

The firm warned there could be delays at UK ports if britain falls out of the European Union next month with no agreement in place.

it imports less than 1pc of its goods from EU countries. Fellow retailers Pets at Home, Tesco and marks & Spencer have also revealed plans to shore up supplies ahead of brexit. Dunelm made a £ 70m profit in the last six months of 2018, which is up 24pc on a year earlier.

revenue rose 1.2pc to £551.8m, with a 6.9pc rise in sales at stores open for more than a year.
