Daily Mail sales break record AGAIN

-

THE Daily Mail has achieved its record market share of newspaper sales for the fifth month in a row.

The latest official ABC figures for January reveal that the Mail’s daily UK retail sales averaged 1.19 million – up 1,000 copies on December – to reach its highest ever market share of 5.6 per cent.

On Saturdays, the Mail sold an average of 1.8 million copies to extend its lead as the biggest-selling newspaper in the UK. It is now 51,000 copies ahead of nearest rival The Sun, a record gap which has grown by almost 50,000 copies in a year.

The Saturday Mail now sells more copies on the newsstand than the Daily Telegraph, Guardian, Daily Express, Times and i newspaper combined.

Our sister title The Mail on Sunday also performed strongly to reach its record market share of

.7 per cent. In a tough environment for newspapers, the outstanding figures are testament to the ongoing success of the Mail, which has continued to invest in journalism to bring you the best news, features and sports coverage, as well as agenda-setting campaigns, award-winning supplements and the indispensable Weekend magazine.
