WHY HE’S STILL IN No 10
AFTER John McDonnell’s outrageous description of Winston Churchill as a ‘ villain’, staff in Downing Street are wondering how a labour government might change the decor in No 10.
for there is a portrait of the great war leader on the wall of the PM’s study. There’s also a bronze bust by the Croatian sculptor Oscar Nemon of Sir Winston and his wife Clementine in the lobby and two pictures of him on the grand staircase — one in black and white by the master photographer yousuf karsh. Would McDonnell insist they were all taken down and be replaced by images of Cobynista heroes karl Marx, Vladimir lenin and Venezuelan thugs Hugo Chavez and Nicolas Maduro?
