Did fertility expert father 200 children?

A DUTCH fertility expert could have fathered up to 200 children by using his own sperm rather than that of donors.

A group of 22 people have won a legal challenge to test their DNA against that of Jan Karbaat, who always denied the charge before he died in April 2017, aged 89.

The case began in 2017 but the court only ruled there was enough evidence to overweigh his close family’s privacy concerns on Wednesday. It has emerged that 47 people the doctor helped conceive at his clinic in Barendrecht, Netherlands, have a ‘relevant biological relationship’ with his son.
