SWANSEA and Newport reaching the last 16 means that for the first time since 1927, two Welsh clubs could make the quarterfin­als. That year the Swans lost to Reading but Cardiff beat Chelsea and went on to win the competitio­n. It remains the only time a non-English club has lifted the FA Cup.
