He vows to leave me penniless after our divorce

I HAVE been married for more than 20 years and recently found out my husband has been having an affair.

He had been cold and distant for a while, and when I found out about the other woman he told me that I would get nothing in the divorce.

He has been financially successful throughout our marriage — our house is worth more than a million pounds.

But to my shock he is now claiming to earn around £20,000 a year. It’s not about the money — although I’m afraid of being left penniless after I gave up a good job in medicine to look after our family.

I am heartbroken. He keeps telling me to leave.

I cry every day. I have terrible anxiety and am full of selfloathing. I feel like a complete failure in every way.

All I ever wanted was to be a good wife and mum and I don’t know how I will get through this.

Please help.
