FBI grills cyber boss

STar cybersecurity firm Darktrace has been dragged into the bitter legal battle between tycoon Mike Lynch and US authorities.

its boss, nicole Eagan, has been interviewed by the FBi as part of its probes into Lynch’s affairs, court documents show.

Lynch, 53, faces criminal charges in america and civil charges in the UK, with prosecutors accusing him of overseeing a massive fraud at his former software company, autonomy, before it was sold for £ 7bn to Hewlett Packard.

Eagan, 54, was autonomy’s chief marketing officer from 2005 to 2012, before founding Darktrace in 2013. She secured investment for it from Lynch’s start-up fund, invoke Capital.
