FBI grills cyber boss

STar cybersecur­ity firm Darktrace has been dragged into the bitter legal battle between tycoon Mike Lynch and US authoritie­s.

its boss, nicole Eagan, has been interviewe­d by the FBi as part of its probes into Lynch’s affairs, court documents show.

Lynch, 53, faces criminal charges in america and civil charges in the UK, with prosecutor­s accusing him of overseeing a massive fraud at his former software company, autonomy, before it was sold for £ 7bn to Hewlett Packard.

Eagan, 54, was autonomy’s chief marketing officer from 2005 to 2012, before founding Darktrace in 2013. She secured investment for it from Lynch’s start-up fund, invoke Capital.
