Sources have said the so-called Project Light ‘is a reality now’. This could lead to a breakdown in North-South relations, as the world league concept was partly designed to improve the southern unions’ grim financial predicament. Officials from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Argentina are considering their position, but a boycott of November fixtures is possible.
