MARY POPPINS star Emily Blunt looked worlds away from her on-screen alter-ego at the Writers’ Guild Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday.
The mother of two from Wandsworth, who now lives in New York with actor husband John Krasinski, swapped her much-loved character’s feminine dresses and skirts for a Dolce & Gabbana trouser-suit, comprising a £ 1,650 jacket, matching trousers and a giant bow tie.
‘It is an alien thing and an otherworldly thing to be photographed on the red carpet and have people screaming at you,’ she has said, ‘so I might as well make a spectacle of it rather than look like myself.’ Job done.
