Blue plaque for Marley’s home
BOB Marley is to be honoured by English Heritage with a blue plaque at the London home where he lived while recording many of his best-known songs.
The reggae star will be commemorated at the Chelsea townhouse where he stayed in 1977 as he finished recording the album Exodus, featuring the hits Waiting in Vain and Three Little Birds.
He moved there a few months after being shot and wounded at his home in Jamaica. Marley, who played football with his bandmates in nearby Battersea Park, died of cancer aged 36 in 1981.
