That’s barking … dog shoots man

THEY are meant to be man’s best friend, but one not-so-faithful hound is probably in the doghouse – after shooting its owner.

The man, a passionate hunter, was shot in the arm when his dog managed to release the trigger on a loaded rifle lying in his car.

The Munich administrative court yesterday ruled that the ‘careless’ owner is not fit to hold a firearms licence after the shooting in 2016. The German court dismissed his appeal against a decision to withdraw his licence and hunting permit. The man, whose name was not released, can appeal the verdict.
