Fundamental flaws

HoW many saw the irony in the placards ‘education, not indoctrination’ when parents protested over lessons in a birmingham school ‘promoting’ homosexuality (mail)?

We are born a blank canvas. the first to paint on it are our parents. their ‘indoctrination’ will build our moral compass and our prejudices. It takes a strong individual to move away from these.

the sight of children holding up placards they surely do not understand is evidence of this. It is vital that children living in a free society understand vital freedoms and the laws that underpin them.

You do not ‘promote’ sexuality, you educate through understanding and respect. the younger the child is made aware of these fundamentals

the more hope there is that hate will be diluted.

Schools must not be intimidated by people who are keen to force their hate-filled prejudices on to others.

J. ARMITT, Bishop’s Stortford, Herts. WELL done to the Birmingham parents who are fighting back against the Left-wing agenda.

If a teacher wants to lead a certain lifestyle, good luck to them, but to impose this view on youngsters in primary schools is wrong. MARY WIEDMAN, Piccotts End, Herts.
