Save the Little Ships

-

HOW sad that many of the surviving Little Ships, which rescued our troops from the beaches of Dunkirk in 1940, could be scrapped because of new regulations about the height of decks.

This is a betrayal of those who were rescued, including my father.

The Maritime and Coastguard Agency should think again about the implications for these historic vessels, which the owners have kept serviceable for all these years.

Meanwhile, what are the repercussions for the pen-pushers in Whitehall who gave a contract to a ferry company without any ships?
