Airport’s record highs
A RECORD 80.1m passengers who used Heathrow last year pushed revenues up 3pc to almost £3bn at Europe’s biggest airport.
The hub, which is owned by investors including the Qatar Investment authority, Ferrovial and China Investment Corporation, said it was its best year.
Chief executive John Holland-Kaye said plans for a new runway at the airport, which is due to open in 2026, were on track.
and he said that although Heathrow wants to avoid a No deal Brexit, crashing out of the EU without a deal might boost the airport in the immediate future.
Holland-Kaye said the airport has spent millions of pounds preparing for a No deal outcome.
