TV’s Dan is my new war hero

-

WELL done BBC Breakfast TV presenter Dan Walker.

He was instrumental in organising a fly-past for ten heroic U.S. airmen who died in World War II after waving to a group of children in a park in Sheffield to get out of the way moments before their Flying Fortress crashed.

one of those youngsters was Tony Foulds, now 82.

Tony has quietly tended the memorial to the fallen airmen ever since. He shed tears yesterday as he revealed he still feels terrible about their deaths.

This admirable man has also requested his ashes are scattered at the memorial.

I salute him.
