THE hottest moment at the Oscars came when Bradley Cooper and (newly single) Lady Gaga performed their A Star Is Born hit song Shallow.
The intense duet ended with Cooper, 44, perching beside her on the piano stool, putting a tuxedo-clad arm around her waist and tilting his head toward hers as they gazed steamily into each other’s eyes.
As one viewer tweeted wistfully: ‘Who doesn’t want someone to look at them the way Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper look at each other?’
And it all happened while Cooper’s model girlfriend – and mother of his one-year-old daughter – Irina Shayk watched from the front row.
The performance won a standing ovation and sparked a flurry of comment on social media about actor-director Cooper and Lady Gaga, 32, who split from her talent agent fiance Christian Carino only last week.
For her part 33-year-old Miss Shayk, who has been with Cooper for four years, was among the first to leap to her feet to join in the applause and later gave Lady Gaga a huge hug after she won the Oscar for best original song.
