Italian steps into Clarks
CLARKS has appointed an Italian businessman as chief executive after its previous boss was forced out over claims of misconduct.
Giorgio Presca, 55, has held senior roles at fashion and footwear firms including Diesel, Geox and Levi Strauss. He was most recently chief executive of Italian trainer company Golden Goose Deluxe Brand. He will join next month, taking over from interim chief executive Stella David who will return to her previous role as non-executive director.
Presca’s predecessor Mike Shearwood was forced to resign last year after Clarks said his conduct fell short of expectations.
