DOES GB TARGET INCLUDE RINGERS?
BRITISH Athletics have been set a target of winning seven medals at the World Athletics Championships by UK Sport. Does this include ringers, the athletes that have been nurtured and in effect produced by other countries — such as Zharnel Hughes, who was born and raised in Anguilla, and did not compete for Britain until the age of 20? If it does, then it is quite obvious why British Athletics are happy to work international rules to their advantage. It makes their numbers add up; and medals mean money.
