LinkedIn users hit with £500 bills
USERS of Linkedin networking site have been charged £500 after a free trial of its top service.
The website connecting business contacts charges £479.88 a year for its Premium Business account. Sehr Sarwar, 30, a financial public relations officer from London, signed up for the free trial in January. A month later £479.88 was taken from her account. Accountant Susan Wall, 62, has also been hit by the charge. Neither said they received a notification before the trial ended.
LinkedIn says it sends notifications to users but admits the message may end up in spam folders. Both Sehr and Susan have been refunded.
