Fast food fuels litter

THOUSANDS of good citizens, including me, are clearing hedgerows and beaches of plastic waste.

I live in remote Pembrokeshire on a narrow lane and as I walk along it I retrieve wrappings that demonstrate the abysmal diet of our nation.

Thrown out of cars and vans, they include McDonald’s packaging, crisp packets, cigarette packets and soft drinks bottles. If we could stop this behaviour, our environment would certainly be better off.
