I love to be at work
I aM one of those people who have gone back to work after retirement (Mail). It was not to supplement my pension, but to rescue my sanity.
I found retirement so boring and needed something positive to do. Working gives me a position in society, a way to meet new people and a chance to engage in something worthwhile.
I was working up to 80 hours a week in my own insurance and mortgage brokerage before I retired.
Even though I spent the first months of my retirement travelling in the Far East and across Europe, I soon felt at a loss to fill my time as a retired person. Luckily, I was able to secure a position with a banking group that welcomes those with experience of life.
at 79, I feel fit and healthy, so I fully intend to continue working for a few more years. KEN WILSON, Rochester, Kent.
