Ferguson pays tribute to Class of 92 coach Harrison
SIR ALEX FERGUSON led the tributes to Eric Harrison yesterday at the former Manchester United coach’s funeral at Halifax Minster.
Harrison played a key role in the development of United’s famous Class of ’92 youth team.
Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and David Beckham attended as they said goodbye to one of the key figures in their careers.
In his eulogy, Ferguson said: ‘The players are extremely grateful to him. He was a fantastic coach. The most important thing is he was tough. He made these players into men. That’s what he gave them.’
