PROPERLY good Malbec from Argentina made by one of the best producers and it’s an absolute steal. Juicy and bold with buckets of black plum and raspberry fruit flavours.

WHITE WINE

Tesco Finest Marlborough sauvignon blanc, £8, Tesco

IF you want a taste of Spring, then stick your nose in a glass of this. You’ll smell cut grass, gooseberries and passion fruit. A true Sauvignon Blanc at a fraction of the price.

RED WINE

asda extra special barolo 2013, £16.98, asda

THIS might look pale and interesting in the glass compared with most reds but in the mouth it’s a monster. Made from the Nebbiolo grape, aged in oak casks for three years, it’s rich with dark cherry flavours, spice and a touch of herbs.

SPARKLING WINE

Colle Del Principe valdobbiadene Prosecco superiore, £14, M&s

MADE from the Glera grape in the Veneto region in Italy, this prosecco is drier than most with lovely soft pear and white peach flavours. Fresh, light and perfectly frothy.
