Heartless Heseltine

I MUST disabuse Michael Heseltine of his assumption that Remainers will prevail in a second referendum because older voters, who he assumes voted Leave, are dying off.

Just as many younger voters, who he assumes voted Remain, will have achieved wisdom and experience since 2016 to vote for emancipation.

KEN McLEOD, Leeds. I WAS horrified that Lord Heseltine said the Almighty has intervened, and many who voted Leave in the referendum have subsequently died.

My husband voted for Brexit for the very best of reasons and has since passed away. Lord Heseltine’s comment was insensitive and not what you would expect from a socalled elder statesman.
