Show some faith
I AM upset at the sidelining of Songs Of Praise by the BBC and the virtual exclusion of religious programming by ITV. Christianity is often mocked on TV, which would never happen with other faiths.
I challenged the BBC on why there are no questions on religion on quiz programmes such as Eggheads and Pointless, but did not receive a satisfactory reply.
In what has become a religiously illiterate society, the BBC should help to educate us and promote greater understanding of the importance of religion and the influence it has played in our culture.
Religion is still part of British life, however much the politically correct brigade might wish otherwise. JOHN WAINWRIGHT,
Potters Bar, Herts. I AM pleased that Songs Of Praise has moved to a lunchtime slot. I was never able to watch it before because I am a regular attendee at Evensong at my local church. FAY JOHNSTONE, Richmond, Surrey.
