DECISION TIME FOR MANU

- CHRIS FOY

MANU TUILAGI is due to hold further talks with Leicester later this week as he agonises over what he calls ‘the toughest decision I’ve had to make’. Stay or go. England or France. Last week, it was reported that the 27-year-old centre had signed for Racing 92 in Paris. He has not. They have made him a lucrative offer but it is understood that he will accept less money to stay with the Tigers if they are willing to improve on the deal they have put forward. ‘At the moment, I haven’t made a decision,’ said Tuilagi yesterday after England training in Oxford. ‘I need to take time to have a look at it. It’s a massive decision — the toughest decision I’ve had to make — and I have to make the right one for me and my family. There’s a lot to consider.’ The revival of his injury-ravaged Test career is a key factor, as he would no longer be eligible for selection if he moved abroad. Tuilagi said: ‘I love being back in the England fold and it is even more special for me. ‘It’s an opportunity to have a second go at it, which some people might not get.’
