Shelvey must wait for his chance

RAFA BENITEZ has warned Jonjo Shelvey that he faces a further spell on the sidelines, despite his return from a thigh injury. Benitez will keep faith with Sean Longstaff and Isaac Hayden, who have impressed in the absence of Shelvey. ‘Obviously Jonjo will need to improve his match fitness, but the only way he can improve it is by playing,’ said the Newcastle boss. ‘It’s not easy at the minute.’
