WHEN Soft Cell split in 1984, they were at breaking point. ‘We both agreed, if we don’t stop, one of us is going to die,’ remembers Dave Ball. Their music never went away in the interim, and this joyful new film is focused around Ball and Marc Almond’s triumphant reunion at the O2 last year.

PART two of Sky’s Mad Max-style series leans less on flashbacks and gets stuck into the present as the racers try to escape London. People start to die, alliances are struck and we get to see a little bit more of Billy Zane’s eccentric wild card character, too.

CRIME FIGHTERS NCIS, 9pm, Fox

McGEE’S wife must be very understand­ing, especially as they have two small children. In tonight’s new episode, the NCIS agent is sent off to Afghanista­n at the drop of a hat; there, a revelation from a terrorist leads to danger all round. In other news, Ducky (David McCallum) is back, but for how long?

PASSIONATE and subtly performed tale of forbidden love, set in North London’s orthodox Jewish community and starring Rachels McAdams and Weisz.

TRIAL EXPERT Bull, 10pm, Fox

A PATIENT of Bull’s from his psychologi­st days turns up, covered in blood and apparently guilty of murder. Tally is also a sociopath, and her lack of emotions means that making her sympatheti­c for the jury is quite a challenge. Tonight’s new episode is never more gripping than when she takes the stand.

SPARRING PARTNERS Rob And Romesh vs Anthony Joshua Revisited, 10pm, Sky One

THE last time comedians Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganatha­n met the boxing champion Anthony Joshua (all pictured), Romesh got on with ‘AJ’ much better. So Rob is keen to make up the shortfall and doesn’t care how much he embarrasse­s himself in the process — what follows is very funny.
