CARDIFF’S RISK IN BLAME GAME

-

WITH the Air Accidents Investigations Branch report producing, as expected, more questions than answers, Cardiff continue to hold out on the payments for Emiliano Sala.

One of the unresolved issues is whether the illfated flight was a commercial undertaking, if so, who met the cost and was it properly licensed?

Yet it has also been claimed that Callum Davies, the club’s player liaison officer, was waiting for Sala’s plane to land at the Signature Flight Support building in Cardiff. Why would a person whose specific role is player welfare not have the full details surrounding the flight before it takes off? If it is, as suspected, Cardiff’s intention to claim negligence they may regret starting to pick that particular thread.
