Concerns as Queen, 92, shows off a bruised left hand

THE Queen has sparked concern after she was photographed with bruises across her hand at an official engagement on Thursday.

The 92-year-old monarch was meeting King Abdullah of Jordan and his wife Queen Rania (pictured) at Buckingham Palace.

An official photo, in which the Queen is not wearing her customary gloves, shows purple bruising on her left hand. The Palace declined to comment but health professionals pointed out that older people are more likely to bruise as their skin is thinner and the tissue underneath naturally becomes more fragile.

The Queen’s hand also appears to be slightly swollen, which could suggest a minor injury or even a circulatory issue.
