CHARGING
ahead this week is the Polestar 2, left, a pure electric five-door family car from the now stand-alone performance arm of the Chinese-owned Volvo stable. Priced from about £35,000, and capable of accelerating from rest to 62 mph in less than 5 seconds, it has a
range of 310 miles, and a ‘vegan’ interior that uses man-made fabrics to avoid leather and wool. It’s a zero-emissions fastback designed to compete with Elon Musk’s Tesla 3 and Britain’s electric Jaguar I-Pace.
THE Jaguar I-Pace is among the seven finalists for the European Car of the Year accolade, to be announced at the Geneva show. The six rivals are the: Alpine A110, Citroen C5 Aircross, Kia Ceed, Mercedes-Benz A-class, Ford Focus and Peugeot 508.
