CHASING an equaliser against Manchester United, Crystal Palace sent on the Belgian. He couldn’t score, so his barren run goes on. Palace paid Liverpool £27m for Benteke in August 2016 and he had a decent first season. But he has not scored this campaign and did so only three times in 2017-18. He is 28 but it is tempting to wonder if his dip in form has become a permanent stasis.
