SPURS NEED MAGICIAN IN CHARGE TO WIN TROPHIES, SAYS BOSS

MAURICIO Pochettino says Spurs need another, ‘magic’ manager if they expect to win trophies on their current budget. Tottenham are nine points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool, out of the FA Cup and outsiders to win the Champions League. Yet Pochettino insists Tottenham are over-achieving with limited resources. The manager said: ‘I hear people say, “Pochettino is there for five years and didn’t win”. If now the obligation is that it is compulsory to win a title because we are doing so well, it is a thing that to compete you need to compare with other teams. Maybe if Daniel Levy said to me next season “We need to win a title, we need to win the Champions League and we need to win the Premier League” then maybe you need to find another magic guy who can do this.’
