NICK GLEESON and Brad Hall achieved Britain’s best two-man bobsleigh result in 53 years with a joint-fourth finish at the World Championships in Whistler, Canada. It was the best effort in the event since Olympic champions Tony Nash and Robin Dixon won bronze in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy in 1966. GREAT BRITAIN failed to add to their four medals on the final day of the UCI Track Cycling World Championships. With Tokyo 2020 just 16 months away, British Cycling performance director Stephen Park insisted: ‘They’ll be hungry for more, desperate to bridge that gap.’
